Game: Pocket Monsters Stadium Gold and Silver
Platform: Nintendo 64
Nintendo of Japan release date: 14 December 2000
Nintendo (abroad) release date: 28 March 2001
Players: 1-4
Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver is the sequel to Japan's Pocket Monsters Stadium 2 game, and sequel to the original Pokémon Stadium game (for those of you living outside of Japan). The game offers better graphics, extras in the stadium mode and a whole new lineup of Pokémon--direct from the Johto Region! The game is Transfer Pak compatable, so you can upload your most loyal Pokémon directly from your Game Boy Games! (Works with all versions of Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold and Crystal.) This game, like the last one, allows you to play your Game Boy Color game directly on your TV. (This is good if you don't happen to own a Game Boy/GB Color.) ^-_-^
This new stadium game not only supports new Pokémon, but the different Pokémon techniques as well. A new section of the game includes the Library, where there is helpful references to all types, techniques, and information on moves and items that can be found in different versions of the Game Boy games. There is also an academy, as well as twelve new Mini-games. Gym Leader Castle now allows trainers to battle Gym Leaders from both Kanto and Johto Regions.
The My Room feature allows players to view their rooms from the Gold, Silver and Crystal versions, while Mystery Gift allows you to trade and recieve random gifts from a girl at the Goldenrod Department Store.
